Bonita Moore was born and raised right here at Oskaloosa First Assembly of God, making this church not only her place of service but truly her home. From her earliest years, Bonita has been an active part of the church family—growing in faith, building relationships, and faithfully serving in countless ways over the decades.
For nearly 50 years, Bonita has served as the Church Secretary, dedicating her time and talents to keeping the ministry organized and thriving. Her strong sense of commitment, attention to detail, and genuine love for people have made her an irreplaceable part of the church staff.
Bonita’s warm smile and welcoming spirit make everyone who walks through the office doors feel at ease. Whether she’s managing church communications, helping plan events, or offering a listening ear, she does it all with a servant’s heart and joyful attitude.
She believes that every act of service—big or small—can be an offering of worship to the Lord. Outside of her role in the office, Bonita enjoys spending time with her family and friends and continues to pour her heart into the community that has been such a special part of her life.
Bonita’s faithfulness, humility, and dedication over the years have left a lasting impact on Oskaloosa First Assembly of God and the many lives she has touched along the way.
Their daughter, Angie, lives in Tempe, AZ and son, Aaron, lives in Springfield, MO.
One of Bonita’s favorite scriptures is a writing of David’s from Psalm 63:1-8:
“O God, you are my God … I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life … I will praise you as long as I live … Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”
What an awesome God we serve.
