Pastor Adam has been serving as Lead Pastor at our church since September 2025. Born and raised in Oskaloosa, Iowa, and the surrounding communities, Adam grew up helping on his grandfather’s farm, developing a deep love for the land and hard work. While he once thought his calling was to farm the soil, God was calling him to farm the hearts of people for His Kingdom and watch the spiritual harvest grow.
Before stepping into full-time ministry, Adam worked at Musco Lighting for 16 years. His path to pastoral leadership became clearer after our church experienced a devastating, physical fire. In that moment, Adam felt God whisper that His church is not a building but the people—and it was time to return to school and answer the call of ministry.
Adam’s love for Jesus has been lifelong, and his desire to serve Him took root during a missions trip to Africa as a teen. Early discouragement from others initially caused him to hesitate in pursuing ministry, which is why he carries a strong conviction for Proverbs 18:21—the truth that our words have the power to build up or tear down—and why he emphasizes teaching people to speak life and encouragement to those around them.
Adam has been married to the love of his life, Marianne, for 15 years. Together, they share four beautiful children—Annabelle, Casen, Aria, and Maddisen—and a home full of laughter, love, and faith. Family is central to their lives, and they hope everyone who walks through the church doors feels welcomed, embraced, and part of a spiritual family.
When he’s not shepherding God’s people, Adam enjoys working on tractors with his son Casen, tinkering in the garage, exploring auctions for unique finds, fishing, and spending quality time with his family. He has a deep passion for music and guitar, as well as for learning and helping others grow in their understanding of the Bible. For Adam, Bible literacy is essential—everyone should understand God’s Word and have a Bible in their hands.
